Deleting your account

How to permanently delete your Packle account and everything in it — in the app in a few taps, or by email if you can't sign in.

You can delete your Packle account yourself, at any time, from the web app at packle.app or from the Packle app for iPhone, iPad, or Android. It's one account across all of them, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Sign in to Packle.
  2. Tap your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Settings.
  3. On the Account tab, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
  4. Enter your password to confirm, then choose Delete my account.

The deletion runs straight away: you're signed out on every device and land back on the Packle home page. There's no undo and no grace period.

If your account doesn't have a Packle password (you signed up with a Google account), you type your email address to confirm instead. In that case, if it's been more than a day since you last signed in, Packle asks you to sign out and back in first — that's a security check, not a hoop.

Can't sign in? Ask by email

Email [email protected] from the address you use for Packle, with "Delete my Packle account" in the subject. I'll check the request really comes from the account's owner, delete the account exactly as the in-app button does, and reply when it's done — within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account on Packle's servers:

  • Your items and containers, and everything attached to them — tasks, tags, item links, and saved barcodes.
  • Your photos: the original files and every resized copy.
  • Your label print queue and any unfinished bulk imports.
  • Your plan, usage limits, and feature settings, including a saved AI key.
  • Feedback you sent from inside the app.
  • The account itself: your name, email address, password, and every active sign-in on every device.

If you have an active paid subscription, it's cancelled immediately, so you won't be charged again. Cancelling doesn't refund the current period automatically — if you think you're owed a refund, email me before you delete.

What isn't deleted

  • Data that only ever lived on your device. Items in pure offline mode, and items set to Local only, are stored in your browser or in the app's own storage, never on Packle's servers. Clear the site's data in your browser, or uninstall the app, to remove them.
  • Payment records held by Stripe. If you ever paid for Packle, Stripe (the payment processor) keeps its own transaction records as tax and financial law requires.
  • Backups and logs. Copies of deleted data can survive in routine server backups and operational logs for up to 30 days, until they're overwritten. They're never restored into an account or used for anything else.
  • Anonymous statistics — aggregate counts, like page views, that were never linked to you.
  • The "notify me" email list, if you joined it separately — every one of those emails has its own unsubscribe link.
